GEORGIA BILL [UPDATE: At a public hearing held on July 1st, the Georgia Department of Agriculture adopted proposed amendments to increase licensing fees by 100% for animal shelters, kennels, pet dealers and stables. Check out www.pijac.org for more information.
The Colorado Department of Agriculture has published a proposed rule amending regulations for the Pet Animal Care Facilities Act.
Senator Richard J. Durbin (D-IL) and Representative Samuel S. Farr (D-CA) introduced companion bills in the Senate and House of Representatives, respectively, titled the Puppy Uniform Protection and Safety Act (PUPS).

They have told us how they have been off to Haiti saving dogs and other animals after
earthquakes did damage. (Although the small island is known to not have many, if any, dogs)

The Memphis City Council is considering an amendment to the city’s Animal and Fowl chapter of the Code of Ordinances to require mandatory spay/neuter of cats over the age of 6 months and dogs that weigh 30 pounds or more.
